dirty sg......
This is my favourite guitar, my beloved cherry red SG.
I also use a very trusty Squier Strat, but can mostly
be heard playing my battered old acoustic, regularly
incorporating alternative tunings to make me sound
much better than I really am.
Flavour of the month (tunings wise) is open C, which
is (fat to thin) CGCGCE. Dick Gaughans marvellous
version of "The Granemore Hare" can be replicated
fairly easily this way, as can John Martyns
beautiful take on "singin' in the rain".
I very often play in open G
and DADGAD too.
