a message from Angus...

You lookin' at me?

A wave of nostalgia has washed over me. What you see here is quite simply the best car I ever owned (sadly, its gone to the great manta graveyard in the skies over germany).
What a car that was. 2.0 litre GT/E coupe, lowered 2" all round on shortened bilstein struts, many, many Irmscher goodies, twin headlights, 400 series door mirrors, Borbet alloys....
I plan on buying another as soon as possible. How difficult it will be to find one remains to be seen.

The great thing about these cars is the handling - perfectly distributed weight means easy, predictable fun. Man, I could cry.....

I've also included a pic of my Golf, not a bad motor either but I'd really like to source a late model oak green 16v.....

Please. Bland music for beige people has no place in society, nor indeed in the collective conciousness of the safe middle class smug arseholes that are attracted to it. PLEASE, I beg of you - make these magnolia tinged buns a thing of the past. Fast. Tom x

Wee Nat.......

Natalie (my youngest and loudest) doesn't like having her picture taken. Well, miss defiant - here it is for the world to see!

Has the devil really got all the best tunes?

I've been toying with digital filters of late. I'm publishing this early experiment to see what it looks like in the context of a web-page. I think I need to learn more about it.

here is a rare photo of me NOT looking like Ian Gillan of Deep Purple circa 1973 (i.e - I've tied my mop of hair up). It was taken last week by our very own "kochanski" during a trip to Dumbarton castle. Very nice it was too.

dirty sg......

This is my favourite guitar, my beloved cherry red SG.I also use a very trusty Squier Strat, but can mostly
be heard playing my battered old acoustic, regularly
incorporating alternative tunings to make me sound
much better than I really am.

Flavour of the month (tunings wise) is open C, which
is (fat to thin) CGCGCE. Dick Gaughans marvellous
version of "The Granemore Hare" can be replicated
fairly easily this way, as can John Martyns
beautiful take on "singin' in the rain".
I very often play in open G
and DADGAD too.
